Toshiba Launches Dual-Channel Standard Digital Isolators for Stable High-Speed Isolated Data Transmission in Industrial Applications

October 28, 2025, Shanghai, China – Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation ("Toshiba") today announced the launch of four new dual-channel standard digital isolators for industrial equipment, the "DCL52xx00 series". The new products support stable operation with high common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 100kV/μs (typ.) and high-speed data rates up to 50Mbps (max.). The series begins shipping today.

The "DCL52xx00 series" comprises four products. The "DCL520C00" and "DCL520D00" feature two forward channels, while the "DCL521C00" and "DCL521D00" have one forward and one reverse channel. These new dual-channel products join the previously released "DCL54xx01 series" of quad-channel devices to serve as standard digital isolators for industrial equipment. With these additions, Toshiba's overall product lineup now covers 14 models, offering rich channel configuration options and contributing to enhanced design flexibility.

The new DCL52xx00 series utilizes Toshiba's proprietary magnetic coupling isolation technology, achieving a high CMTI of 100kV/μs (typ.), consistent with the DCL54xx01 series. This technology improves noise immunity during isolated signal transmission from input to output, ensuring stable signal transfer and reliable device operation. 

Furthermore, the new products achieve low pulse width distortion of 0.8ns (typ.) and support high-speed data rates up to 150Mbps (max.), making them well-suited for multi-channel high-speed communication applications such as I/O interfaces supporting UART and I2C communication.

Toshiba has begun mass production of standard digital isolators for industrial and automotive equipment. Moving forward, the company will continue to expand its product lines for both areas in terms of packages and channel count, and remains committed to providing high-quality isolation devices and photocouplers to contribute to the reliability and real-time data transmission required for industrial and automotive applications.
